How Mature Are You Really?

Years in Ministry Mean Nothing Without Fruit.
“I’ve been in this for a long time” means nothing to God.
How many years you’ve been an usher, worship leader, evangelist, preacher, or prophet means nothing to Him.
What He cares about is lives transformed, the evidence of your yield and surrender.
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” Matthew 7:21–23
Jesus rebukes those who boast in works but lack intimacy and obedience.
To the ones boasting about time in the faith, what does your life say?
“Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” Matthew 7:19
“You will know them by their fruits.” Matthew 7:16
The evidence of being with God is the fruit that it brings, the level of faith you walk in, the revelation you carry, pour out, and live by.
Decades in church should not look like lack of faith for the basic promises He guaranteed us, healing, joy, wholeness, etc.
“By this time you ought to be teachers, yet you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God. “Hebrews 5:12–14
“Always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 2 Timothy 3:7
If you’ve been saved so long, why do you carry more fear than faith? Fear about bills, health, or tomorrow?
If you’ve been in the faith so long, why is your life still carnally based, more concerned about the cares of life than the concerns of the Kingdom?
“When they saw the boldness of Peter and John… they realized they had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13
We ought to know as believers that we don’t live for today or this earth’s tomorrow. The account we’ll give on that great day before our God and Father will be for how we stewarded what He gave us, our time and our talents.
“Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” Colossians 3:2
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth… but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven.” Matthew 6:19–21
Wake up, people of God.
This life will end.
And God isn’t going to look at your good deeds or sacrifices.
He looks beyond them, to the true heart and motive behind them.
Our righteousness is like filthy rags to Him. He sees beyond performance.
“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice.” 1 Samuel 15:22
Don’t get caught up in what you do for God and end up missing God Himself.
“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name?’ … Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you.’” Matthew 7:22–23
Call me super spiritual or too much, I’ll take it. It’s not me who lives, but Christ in me.
